2025 W2s Are Now Available In Doculivery

Effective from 2025 to 2028, eligible employees can deduct the "premium" portion of their overtime pay (the extra 0.5x, not the full 1.5x) from their federal income tax, up to $12,500 annually ($25,000 for married filing jointly).

Qualified overtime pay is reported on your W-2 under the code of "QULOT" in Box 14 ("Other").

Simple Overtime Deduction Example
Hourly Rate: $20/hour
Overtime Rate (1.5x): $30/hour
Example Scenario: You work 50 hours, which includes 10 hours of overtime in a week.
Total Overtime Pay: 10 hours x $30 = $300
Regular Pay Equivalent: 10 hours x $20 = $200
Overtime Deductible Amount (The Premium - 0.5x): $300 - $200 = $100
Result: You can deduct $100 from your taxable income for that week

Qualified tips are reported in Box 7 of your W-2.

Enroll During Open Enrollment

When you're ready to enroll, follow these steps:

1. Enroll Online. Click here.

2. Click on "Open Enrollment".

3. Follow the onscreen instructions to enroll or update your coverage elections.

4. Print and save the confirmation form.

5. Complete spousal surcharge form. Send form and dependent verification to totalbenefits@unitedtexas.com.

Remember: You MUST take action and enroll if you want to contribute to a health savings account or flexible spending account in 2025.
